What actually happens on a copier lease
Under a lease, the copier is bought by a finance company, and you repay it in monthly instalments over an agreed term, usually three to five years. Your monthly figure is set by the machine, how long the term is and your business itself. The lease decides what happens at the finish: the machine may go back to the finance company, be swapped for a newer model, or stay with you once a residual is paid.
In practice, most people who ask us about leasing settle on a rental, because the ending is simpler: move up to a newer machine, or hand it back. Should a lease still suit you or your accountant better, we will arrange one.
