Gold Coast Copiers

Copier people who know how the Coast works

Gold Coast Copiers supplies office photocopiers to businesses from Ormeau and Yatala down to Coolangatta, and over the border into Tweed Heads. We know the work that goes on here: real estate agencies turning out contracts and window cards, clinics and allied health practices handling forms all day, builders and trades who need plans on A3, schools, and the hotels and tour operators that print for their guests. The four of us behind the business have more than 100 years in copiers between us. New machines come from HP, Kyocera, Lexmark, OKI and Toshiba, and every major brand comes through secondhand, in renewed, refurbished and used grades. Most offices settle on an A3 colour copier. If your team is around ten people or fewer and never prints A3, an A4 office printer that copies, prints and scans may be all you need, and printer rental starts from $10 a week plus GST.

Then there is the question of paying, and there are four ways to do it. Some owners buy a photocopier outright. Most choose a copier rental from $15 a week plus GST. Some prefer a photocopier lease, and others pay per page under managed print services. Wherever the machine is headed, a strata office in Surfers Paradise, a practice in Robina or a warehouse at Yatala, the price covers bringing it in, connecting it to your network, setting up scanning and showing your staff how it works. After that, we service it for as long as you keep it.

    Replacement warranty

A machine that fails is replaced. Through to the final month.

Any machine we look after on a service agreement comes under our replacement warranty, whatever its age and however you paid for it. Rented, leased, financed or bought outright, new or secondhand: if it fails, we replace it. Cover runs for the whole term of the agreement, through to its final month.

The maker's warranty on a new copier normally lasts 12 months and takes in the hardware; consumables are not part of it. Past that first year, your protection comes from the service agreement. Every detail of the replacement warranty is set down in your agreement.

    Do the sums

Your copier running cost, added up properly

Ask most owners and they can tell you the monthly payment. Far fewer have added in the pages, the minimums and the charges that only show up on an invoice. Pop your figures in below to see the month, the year and what is left to pay on the agreement.

    Paying for it

Buy, rent, lease, finance or pay per page

Rent from $15 a week plus GST. Finance subject to approval. The lowest weekly figure applies to selected machines.

Why most of our customers rent

Cash stays in the business, the cost is the same every month, and service plus the replacement warranty come in one agreement. When the term is up, a newer machine is an easy step.

    Makers

Ten brands, one team to service them

Gold Coast Copiers is not bound to any one maker. New, we can supply any of five makers: Toshiba, Kyocera, HP, OKI and Lexmark. Secondhand, we can source every major brand. So when we point you towards a brand, it is because it fits the way your business works.

    Toshiba

    New or secondhand

Toshiba builds sturdy A3 office machines and keeps one touch panel layout across the whole e STUDIO line.

    Kyocera

    New or secondhand

Kyocera's drums and developer units are made to last for a very long run of pages, which means fewer parts changed and a lower cost on every page.

    Service

The sale is the start, not the end

Once it is on your network with scanning set up and your staff comfortable with it, the service agreement looks after toner, parts and repairs for one price per page.

From fault to fixed: a service call: Ring or send a request. When the copier acts up, ring us or send a request online. We note the machine, the fault and your details, then log the call.; Start with the code. Most faults put a code up on the screen. Give us that code and the right parts go in the van.; On the road to you. Booked, and a technician sets out. With the parts that code calls for.; Sorted on the spot. Traced and put right in place. Worn parts your agreement covers are changed at no added cost.; Checked and cleaned. A test page each for copy, print and scan. And a clean before the technician packs up.; On file, and covered. Every visit goes on your machine's file, so its history builds up. If it fails within the term, the replacement warranty steps in.
    Asked often

Copier questions from Gold Coast businesses

Can my business simply buy a copier?

Yes, if that suits you best. You can buy a photocopier for one payment, spread it over a term with a copier rental, or arrange a photocopier lease if your accountant prefers one. Whichever machine you ask about, we put the purchase price and the regular payment in front of you together, in writing.

How much is a photocopier on the Gold Coast?

It comes down to the paper size, the speed, colour or mono, the grade, and the way you choose to pay. Rental starts from $15 a week plus GST. Tell us a little about how your business prints and we will write up figures for a couple of machines that fit the work.

Is there a difference between a copier, a photocopier and a copy machine?

Not really. They are everyday names for one office machine, along with photocopy machine and photocopier machine. Because nearly all of them now print and scan too, you will often hear multifunction printer or MFP as well. If you are weighing one up, here is how to choose.

    What brands can you supply?

New machines come from HP, Kyocera, Lexmark, OKI and Toshiba. Secondhand, we deal in every major brand, so Ricoh, Canon, Konica Minolta, Sharp, and Fujifilm and Fuji Xerox machines all come through. We will give you a plain opinion on which one fits your office.

Is renting a copier like hiring one?

No, and the difference matters. Our rental is a three to five year business agreement, with one regular payment and servicing built in, and when it ends you can move up to a newer machine or hand it back. Hire means a machine for a few days or weeks, which is something we do not offer.

Who services the machine after it goes in?

We do. The people who supply your copier are the people who keep it running, right across the Coast. Put it on a service agreement and one set price per page takes care of toner, parts and repairs.

What happens if the copier stops working?

We replace it, provided it is on our service agreement. It does not matter whether the machine is rented, leased, financed or was paid for outright, and the replacement warranty stays in force for the full length of the agreement.

Which parts of the Gold Coast do you cover?

The Gold Coast, from Ormeau and Yatala to Coolangatta, and Tweed Heads. Towers in Southport and Surfers Paradise, business parks at Robina and Varsity Lakes, the estates at Yatala, Molendinar and Arundel, and the suburbs along the M1 all sit within the area we deliver to and service. Where we deliver.

Can I trade in the copier we have now?

Yes. Any A3 copier or office printer you are replacing can be traded in when you upgrade. Its trade in price comes straight off the new machine, and we carry the old one out during the same changeover. How a trade in works.

How long before the new machine is installed?

For most machines, about a week from the day you sign. If yours is a new model we order from the maker, allow longer; we will give you the timing before you put pen to paper.

    Locked into an agreement?

Plenty of copier contracts carry costs that only show up later. Here is what to look for. Already signed one? Upload it for a straight explanation of your position.
