Kyocera's 2554ci range arrived in 2021 and runs all the way up to the 7054ci; this is its 25 pages a minute model. It copies, prints and scans in colour up to A3, worked from a 10.1 inch touch screen. Because it remains on Kyocera Australia's current list, it is available new from us as well as secondhand.

It replaced the TASKalfa 2553ci, which ran at the same speed in the range before. Long life parts are central to Kyocera's design, and they are a large part of why these machines stay economical to run year after year. The photograph is Kyocera's.

The right size of business

Picture a builder's office, a dental practice or a property management team: a handful of people, A3 colour now and then, and no need for a fast machine. Once ten or more people share it, move up to the TASKalfa 3554ci (35 pages a minute) or the TASKalfa 4054ci (40).

New or secondhand, and how to pay

Bought new, it carries Kyocera's warranty. Secondhand, it comes renewed, refurbished or used, checked first, with its page count in writing before you sign. Delivery, setup on your network, scanning setup and a run through for your team are part of the price.

Pay outright, or rent, lease or finance it, subject to approval; on a secondhand one the term can reach 60 months, if its age allows. With our service agreement in place, a machine that fails is replaced, however long the term. Selected machines can be rented from $15 a week plus GST.

Four things to ask about a secondhand machine

The page count. Ask for it in writing; we give it before you sign. Pages printed tell you more about wear than the year a machine was made.
The options on it. Find out what is attached, such as a stapling finisher, more paper drawers or a high capacity feeder. Each one changes the jobs it suits and the figure you pay.
Who looks after it. A machine nobody can repair is no bargain, however little it costs. We only sell what we can service ourselves, everywhere we deliver.
The running cost. Have the black and white and colour page rates put in writing, along with what each rate includes.

Replacement warranty

A machine that fails is replaced. Through to the final month.

Any machine we look after on a service agreement comes under our replacement warranty, whatever its age and however you paid for it. Rented, leased, financed or bought outright, new or secondhand: if it fails, we replace it. Cover runs for the whole term of the agreement, through to its final month.

The maker's warranty on a new copier normally lasts 12 months and takes in the hardware; consumables are not part of it. Past that first year, your protection comes from the service agreement. Every detail of the replacement warranty is set down in your agreement.

Yes. It is still current at Kyocera Australia, sold alongside the newer TASKalfa MZ models, so we can supply one new. Secondhand ones come our way often as well.

What changed between the TASKalfa 2553ci and 2554ci?

Not the speed: each prints 25 pages a minute in A3 colour. Kyocera released the 2554ci in 2021, as the generation after the 2553ci. On a secondhand machine, though, its own page count and service record tell you more than which generation it is. See the TASKalfa 2553ci page.

Is the TASKalfa 2554ci a sensible choice?
