Secondhand Konica Minolta bizhub C250i on the Gold Coast

In plain terms

Konica Minolta placed the bizhub C250i in its bizhub C250i to C360i range, as the model that prints 25 pages a minute. Konica Minolta made one sister model, the bizhub C360i, at 36 pages a minute. From the maker's own figures, it needs the optional single pass document feeder to scan at its top speed of 100 images a minute, has room for 1,150 sheets (or 6,650 with extra paper options) and copes with card stock to 300 gsm. Konica Minolta has since brought out the bizhub C251i to replace it.

Is it the right fit for your team?

As a rough guide, it is sized for a business with a handful of staff, five or fewer. Konica Minolta's recommended monthly volume is up to 16,000 pages. If the business is growing, the bizhub C360i gives you 36 pages a minute in the same family.

Secondhand grades and how to pay

Choose a renewed bizhub C250i if you want one that runs close to new, refurbished for the balance most customers pick, or used to keep the outlay down. Every unit is checked first, with the page count in writing. Pay outright, or rent, lease or finance it over a term that can reach 60 months on a younger machine. Delivery, setup on your network, scanning setup and a run through for your team come with it, wherever you are on the Coast.

Bought outright without a service agreement, its warranty depends on the machine, and we tell you in writing what it is before the sale. With a service agreement, it is replaced if it fails, for the whole term. The lowest weekly rental, from $15 a week plus GST, is for selected machines, subject to approval.

Questions worth asking first

• The page count. Ask for it in writing; we give it before you sign. Pages printed tell you more about wear than the year a machine was made.
• The options on it. Find out what is attached, such as a stapling finisher, more paper drawers or a high capacity feeder. Each one changes the jobs it suits and the figure you pay.
• Who looks after it. A machine nobody can repair is no bargain, however little it costs. We only sell what we can service ourselves, everywhere we deliver.
• The running cost. Have the black and white and colour page rates put in writing, along with what each rate includes.
