The model itself

Konica Minolta placed the bizhub C227 in its bizhub C227 to C287 range, as the model that prints 22 pages a minute. Its single stablemate is the bizhub C287, which does 28 pages a minute. From the maker's own figures, it needs the optional document feeder to scan at its top speed of 45 images a minute, has room for 1,100 sheets (or 3,600 with extra paper options) and copes with card stock to 256 gsm.

An A3 colour photocopier for Gold Coast workplaces, at 22 pages a minute, in three secondhand grades.

The right size of business

It makes most sense for a business with a handful of staff, five or fewer. Plan on no more than 10,000 pages a month, which is the volume Konica Minolta recommends. For more people on the one machine, look at the bizhub C287, the next step up at 28 pages a minute.

How we supply it secondhand

Secondhand, the bizhub C227 comes in whichever grade suits your budget: renewed, refurbished or used. We check each one and give you its page count in writing. Rental or finance terms stretch to 60 months where the machine's age allows, and buying outright is always an option. The price covers delivery, setup on your network, scanning setup and a run through for your team.

We only sell machines we can service, so every secondhand bizhub C227 we supply can go straight onto a service agreement, with toner, parts and repairs at a set cost per page and a replacement if it fails. Rental on selected machines is from $15 a week plus GST, approval permitting.

Before you commit to a secondhand one

  • The page count. Ask for it in writing; we give it before you sign. Pages printed tell you more about wear than the year a machine was made.
  • The options on it. Find out what is attached, such as a stapling finisher, more paper drawers or a high capacity feeder. Each one changes the jobs it suits and the figure you pay.
  • Who looks after it. A machine nobody can repair is no bargain, however little it costs. We only sell what we can service ourselves, everywhere we deliver.
  • The running cost. Have the black and white and colour page rates put in writing, along with what each rate includes.

Replacement warranty

A machine that fails is replaced. Through to the final month.

Any machine we look after on a service agreement comes under our replacement warranty, whatever its age and however you paid for it. Rented, leased, financed or bought outright, new or secondhand: if it fails, we replace it. Cover runs for the whole term of the agreement, through to its final month.

The maker's warranty on a new copier normally lasts 12 months and takes in the hardware; consumables are not part of it. Past that first year, your protection comes from the service agreement. Every detail of the replacement warranty is set down in your agreement.

Asked often

Common queries on the Konica Minolta bizhub C227

Is there a way to judge the wear on a secondhand bizhub C227?

Yes: the page count. We put it in writing before you commit, and it is a truer guide to wear than age alone.

How many pages a month should the bizhub C227 handle?

Konica Minolta recommends keeping it within 10,000 pages a month; the rated ceiling is 19,000 in a single month.

How do I decide between the bizhub C227 and the bizhub C287?

Both come from the same family. The bizhub C227 prints 22 pages a minute, while the bizhub C287 prints 28, so the real question is how many people will share the machine. Give us that number and we will point you to one.

Is rental an option on the bizhub C227?

Usually, yes, subject to approval, for a term the machine's age allows, up to 60 months. Weekly rental on selected machines is from $15 a week plus GST; the machine is serviced throughout. Rental is not hire, so there is no short booking to arrange. Ask about this model and we will put the figures in writing for you.
