Secondhand Lexmark MX912dxe on the Gold Coast

When colour is not needed but A3 is, a mono copier that also prints and scans is the practical choice. One to consider is the Lexmark MX912dxe, an A3 mono photocopier that Lexmark rates at 65 pages a minute. Fax is built in as standard, too. You can have it renewed, close to new; refurbished, the grade most customers choose; or used, for the lowest outlay. Whichever it is, the page count comes in writing first.

  • Up to 65 pages a minute on A4
  • Copies, prints and scans, A3 black and white

In plain terms

Within Lexmark's MX91x series, the MX912dxe (first released in 2014) is the option at 65 pages a minute. The only other model in that family is the MX910de, rated 45 pages a minute. From the maker's own figures, it reads both sides of a double sided original in one pass, at as many as 80 images a minute, has room for 3,650 sheets (or 6,650 with extra paper options) and copes with card stock to 256 gsm.

Where it fits best

It makes most sense for thirty or more people, or a print room that runs much of the day. Lexmark's guide is to keep it under 50,000 pages a month. The MX910de, at 45 pages a minute, is the gentler option in the family.

Picking a grade, then a way to pay

Secondhand, the MX912dxe comes in whichever grade suits your budget: renewed, refurbished or used. We check each one and give you its page count in writing. Rental or finance terms stretch to 60 months where the machine's age allows, and buying outright is always an option. The price covers delivery, setup on your network, scanning setup and a run through for your team.

A secondhand machine on our service agreement has the same replacement warranty as a new one: if it fails, we replace it, for the full term. Approved rentals on the selected machines that qualify are priced from $15 a week plus GST.

Questions worth asking first

  • The page count. Ask for it in writing; we give it before you sign. Pages printed tell you more about wear than the year a machine was made.
  • The options on it. Find out what is attached, such as a stapling finisher, more paper drawers or a high capacity feeder. Each one changes the jobs it suits and the figure you pay.
  • Who looks after it. A machine nobody can repair is no bargain, however little it costs. We only sell what we can service ourselves, everywhere we deliver.
  • The running cost. Have the black and white and colour page rates put in writing, along with what each rate includes.

Replacement warranty

A machine that fails is replaced. Through to the final month.

Any machine we look after on a service agreement comes under our replacement warranty, whatever its age and however you paid for it. Rented, leased, financed or bought outright, new or secondhand: if it fails, we replace it. Cover runs for the whole term of the agreement, through to its final month.

The maker's warranty on a new copier normally lasts 12 months and takes in the hardware; consumables are not part of it. Past that first year, your protection comes from the service agreement. Every detail of the replacement warranty is set down in your agreement.

Asked often

What buyers want to know: Lexmark MX912dxe

Is there a way to judge the wear on a secondhand MX912dxe?

Yes: the page count. We put it in writing before you commit, and it is a truer guide to wear than age alone.

How many pages a month should the MX912dxe handle?

Lexmark recommends keeping it within 50,000 pages a month; the rated ceiling is 300,000 in a single month.

How do I decide between the MX912dxe and the MX910de?

Both come from the same family. The MX912dxe prints 65 pages a minute, while the MX910de prints 45, so the real question is how many people will share the machine. Give us that number and we will point you to one.

Is rental an option on the MX912dxe?

Usually, yes, subject to approval, for a term the machine's age allows, up to 60 months. Weekly rental on selected machines is from $15 a week plus GST; the machine is serviced throughout. Rental is not hire, so there is no short booking to arrange. Ask about this model and we will put the figures in writing for you.
