In plain terms

Of the speeds in Kyocera's TASKalfa 6002i series, the TASKalfa 6002i is the one that does 60 pages a minute. Kyocera built the same family at other speeds too: TASKalfa 4002i (40) and TASKalfa 5002i (50), in pages a minute. Useful to know: it needs the optional single pass document feeder to scan at its top speed of 100 images a minute, has room for 1,150 sheets (or 7,150 with extra paper options) and copes with card stock to 300 gsm. The model that came after it is the TASKalfa 6003i.

Is it the right fit for your team?

As a rough guide, it is sized for thirty or more people, or a print room that runs much of the day. If your team prints less, compare it with the TASKalfa 5002i, which manages 50 pages a minute.

How we supply it secondhand

A secondhand TASKalfa 6002i comes in one of three grades. Renewed is the top grade, with more parts replaced so it looks and runs close to new, and it costs more than refurbished. Refurbished, the most popular, is cleaned, serviced and tested, with its worn parts replaced. Used is checked and working with less work done, for the lowest outlay. Rental, a lease or finance can run for as long as 60 months if the machine's age allows, or you can buy outright. Delivery, setup on your network, scanning setup and a run through for your team are in the price.

A secondhand machine on our service agreement has the same replacement warranty as a new one: if it fails, we replace it, for the full term. Approved rentals on the selected machines that qualify are priced from $15 a week plus GST.

Before you commit to a secondhand one

The page count. Ask for it in writing; we give it before you sign. Pages printed tell you more about wear than the year a machine was made.
The options on it. Find out what is attached, such as a stapling finisher, more paper drawers or a high capacity feeder. Each one changes the jobs it suits and the figure you pay.
Who looks after it. A machine nobody can repair is no bargain, however little it costs. We only sell what we can service ourselves, everywhere we deliver.
The running cost. Have the black and white and colour page rates put in writing, along with what each rate includes.

Replacement warranty

A machine that fails is replaced. Through to the final month.

Any machine we look after on a service agreement comes under our replacement warranty, whatever its age and however you paid for it. Rented, leased, financed or bought outright, new or secondhand: if it fails, we replace it. Cover runs for the whole term of the agreement, through to its final month.

The maker's warranty on a new copier normally lasts 12 months and takes in the hardware; consumables are not part of it. Past that first year, your protection comes from the service agreement. Every detail of the replacement warranty is set down in your agreement.

Asked often

What buyers want to know: Kyocera TASKalfa 6002i

Can the TASKalfa 6002i still be bought new?

Not any more: the TASKalfa 6003i took over in Kyocera's range. A secondhand one from us is checked, graded and serviced by our own team.

Is there a way to judge the wear on a secondhand TASKalfa 6002i?

Yes: the page count. We put it in writing before you commit, and it is a truer guide to wear than age alone.

How do I decide between the TASKalfa 6002i and the TASKalfa 5002i?

It comes down to your workload. At 60 pages a minute against 50, the two suit different team sizes; send a headcount and a rough monthly page count and we will recommend the better fit.

Is rental an option on the TASKalfa 6002i?

Usually, yes, subject to approval, for a term the machine's age allows, up to 60 months. Weekly rental on selected machines is from $15 a week plus GST; the machine is serviced throughout. Rental is not hire, so there is no short booking to arrange. Ask about this model and we will put the figures in writing for you.
