Secondhand Kyocera TASKalfa 6052ci on the Gold Coast

Kyocera placed the TASKalfa 6052ci in its TASKalfa 2552ci series, as the model that prints 60 pages a minute. Kyocera built the same family at other speeds too: TASKalfa 2552ci (25), TASKalfa 3252ci (32), TASKalfa 4052ci (40) and TASKalfa 5052ci (50), in pages a minute. Useful to know: it needs the optional single pass document feeder to scan at its top speed of 100 images a minute, has room for 1,150 sheets (or 7,150 with extra paper options) and copes with card stock to 300 gsm. In Kyocera's range it has given way to the TASKalfa 6053ci.

Where it fits best

Its natural home: thirty or more people, or a print room that runs much of the day. The TASKalfa 5052ci, at 50 pages a minute, is the gentler option in the family.

Choose a renewed TASKalfa 6052ci if you want one that runs close to new, refurbished for the balance most customers pick, or used to keep the outlay down. Every unit is checked first, with the page count in writing. Pay outright, or rent, lease or finance it over a term that can reach 60 months on a younger machine. Delivery, setup on your network, scanning setup and a run through for your team come with it, wherever you are on the Coast.

Bought outright without a service agreement, its warranty depends on the machine, and we tell you in writing what it is before the sale. With a service agreement, it is replaced if it fails, for the whole term. The lowest weekly rental, from $15 a week plus GST, is for selected machines, subject to approval.

Four things to ask about a secondhand machine

• The page count. Ask for it in writing; we give it before you sign. Pages printed tell you more about wear than the year a machine was made.
• The options on it. Find out what is attached, such as a stapling finisher, more paper drawers or a high capacity feeder. Each one changes the jobs it suits and the figure you pay.
• Who looks after it. A machine nobody can repair is no bargain, however little it costs. We only sell what we can service ourselves, everywhere we deliver.
• The running cost. Have the black and white and colour page rates put in writing, along with what each rate includes.
