Secondhand Kyocera TASKalfa 3252ci on the Gold Coast

The model itself

Of the speeds in Kyocera's TASKalfa 2552ci series, the TASKalfa 3252ci is the one that does 32 pages a minute. Sister models and their A4 speeds: TASKalfa 2552ci (25), TASKalfa 4052ci (40), TASKalfa 5052ci (50) and TASKalfa 6052ci (60). Useful to know: it needs the optional single pass document feeder to scan at its top speed of 80 images a minute, has room for 1,150 sheets (or 7,150 with extra paper options) and copes with card stock to 300 gsm. Kyocera has since brought out the TASKalfa 3253ci to replace it.

Where it fits best

Its natural home: an office of somewhere between five and fifteen staff. For more people on the one machine, look at the TASKalfa 4052ci, the next step up at 40 pages a minute. If your team prints less, compare it with the TASKalfa 2552ci, which manages 25 pages a minute.

Picking a grade, then a way to pay

Secondhand, the TASKalfa 3252ci comes in whichever grade suits your budget: renewed, refurbished or used. We check each one and give you its page count in writing. Rental or finance terms stretch to 60 months where the machine's age allows, and buying outright is always an option. The price covers delivery, setup on your network, scanning setup and a run through for your team.

We only sell machines we can service, so every secondhand TASKalfa 3252ci we supply can go straight onto a service agreement, with toner, parts and repairs at a set cost per page and a replacement if it fails. Rental on selected machines is from $15 a week plus GST, approval permitting.

Four things to ask about a secondhand machine

• The page count. Ask for it in writing; we give it before you sign. Pages printed tell you more about wear than the year a machine was made.
• The options on it. Find out what is attached, such as a stapling finisher, more paper drawers or a high capacity feeder. Each one changes the jobs it suits and the figure you pay.
• Who looks after it. A machine nobody can repair is no bargain, however little it costs. We only sell what we can service ourselves, everywhere we deliver.
• The running cost. Have the black and white and colour page rates put in writing, along with what each rate includes.
