The right size of business

As a rough guide, it is sized for a workplace where fifteen to thirty people share one machine. Konica Minolta's guide is to keep it under 30,000 pages a month. For more people on the one machine, look at the bizhub C558, the next step up at 55 pages a minute.

How we supply it secondhand

Secondhand, the bizhub C458 comes in whichever grade suits your budget: renewed, refurbished or used. We check each one and give you its page count in writing. Rental or finance terms stretch to 60 months where the machine's age allows, and buying outright is always an option. The price covers delivery, setup on your network, scanning setup and a run through for your team.

A secondhand machine on our service agreement has the same replacement warranty as a new one: if it fails, we replace it, for the full term. Approved rentals on the selected machines that qualify are priced from $15 a week plus GST.

Before you commit to a secondhand one

  • The page count. Ask for it in writing; we give it before you sign. Pages printed tell you more about wear than the year a machine was made.
  • The options on it. Find out what is attached, such as a stapling finisher, more paper drawers or a high capacity feeder. Each one changes the jobs it suits and the figure you pay.
  • Who looks after it. A machine nobody can repair is no bargain, however little it costs. We only sell what we can service ourselves, everywhere we deliver.
  • The running cost. Have the black and white and colour page rates put in writing, along with what each rate includes.

Replacement warranty

A machine that fails is replaced. Through to the final month.

Any machine we look after on a service agreement comes under our replacement warranty, whatever its age and however you paid for it. Rented, leased, financed or bought outright, new or secondhand: if it fails, we replace it. Cover runs for the whole term of the agreement, through to its final month.

The maker's warranty on a new copier normally lasts 12 months and takes in the hardware; consumables are not part of it. Past that first year, your protection comes from the service agreement. Every detail of the replacement warranty is set down in your agreement.

Asked often

What buyers want to know: Konica Minolta bizhub C458

Is a new bizhub C458 still available?

No. Its replacement from Konica Minolta is the bizhub C450i, so secondhand is now the way to get one, and every one we sell, we can service.

How many pages will a secondhand bizhub C458 have done?

Every machine is different, so you get its exact page count in writing before you buy. That number says far more about wear than the year it was built.

What workload is the bizhub C458 designed for?

Konica Minolta recommends keeping it within 30,000 pages a month; the rated ceiling is 150,000 in a single month.

Is the bizhub C558 a better choice than the bizhub C458?

Both come from the same family. The bizhub C458 prints 45 pages a minute, while the bizhub C558 prints 55, so the real question is how many people will share the machine. Give us that number and we will point you to one.
