In plain terms

Konica Minolta placed the bizhub C558 in its bizhub C458 to C658 range, as the model that prints 55 pages a minute. Its stablemates, each with its pages a minute: bizhub C458 (45) and bizhub C658 (65). Useful to know: it reads both sides of a double sided original in one pass, at as many as 120 images a minute, has room for 1,150 sheets (or 6,650 with extra paper options) and copes with card stock to 300 gsm. In Konica Minolta's range it has given way to the bizhub C550i.

The right size of business

Its natural home: thirty or more people, or a print room that runs much of the day. Plan on no more than 30,000 pages a month, which is the volume Konica Minolta recommends. Expecting more staff? The same family's bizhub C658 lifts the speed to 65 pages a minute. If your team prints less, compare it with the bizhub C458, which manages 45 pages a minute.

How we supply it secondhand

Choose a renewed bizhub C558 if you want one that runs close to new, refurbished for the balance most customers pick, or used to keep the outlay down. Every unit is checked first, with the page count in writing. Pay outright, or rent, lease or finance it over a term that can reach 60 months on a younger machine. Delivery, setup on your network, scanning setup and a run through for your team come with it, wherever you are on the Coast.

A secondhand machine on our service agreement has the same replacement warranty as a new one: if it fails, we replace it, for the full term. Approved rentals on the selected machines that qualify are priced from $15 a week plus GST.

Questions worth asking first

  • The page count. Ask for it in writing; we give it before you sign. Pages printed tell you more about wear than the year a machine was made.
  • The options on it. Find out what is attached, such as a stapling finisher, more paper drawers or a high capacity feeder. Each one changes the jobs it suits and the figure you pay.
  • Who looks after it. A machine nobody can repair is no bargain, however little it costs. We only sell what we can service ourselves, everywhere we deliver.
  • The running cost. Have the black and white and colour page rates put in writing, along with what each rate includes.

Replacement warranty

A machine that fails is replaced. Through to the final month.

Any machine we look after on a service agreement comes under our replacement warranty, whatever its age and however you paid for it. Rented, leased, financed or bought outright, new or secondhand: if it fails, we replace it. Cover runs for the whole term of the agreement, through to its final month.

The maker's warranty on a new copier normally lasts 12 months and takes in the hardware; consumables are not part of it. Past that first year, your protection comes from the service agreement. Every detail of the replacement warranty is set down in your agreement.

Asked often

Common queries on the Konica Minolta bizhub C558

Is a new bizhub C558 still available?

No. Its replacement from Konica Minolta is the bizhub C550i, so secondhand is now the way to get one, and every one we sell, we can service.

How many pages will a secondhand bizhub C558 have done?

Every machine is different, so you get its exact page count in writing before you buy. That number says far more about wear than the year it was built.

What workload is the bizhub C558 designed for?

Konica Minolta recommends keeping it within 30,000 pages a month; the rated ceiling is 200,000 in a single month.

Is the bizhub C658 a better choice than the bizhub C558?

It comes down to your workload. At 55 pages a minute against 65, the two suit different team sizes; send a headcount and a rough monthly page count and we will recommend the better fit.
