Secondhand Sharp MX M3050 on the Gold Coast

Trades and construction offices printing plans, rosters and forms in black and white, sometimes on A3, are the businesses this kind of machine is made for. One to consider is the Sharp MX M3050, an A3 mono photocopier that Sharp rates at 30 pages a minute. You can have it renewed, close to new; refurbished, the grade most customers choose; or used, for the lowest outlay. Whichever it is, the page count comes in writing first.

  • Up to 30 pages a minute on A4
  • Copies, prints and scans, A3 black and white
  • Secondhand: renewed, refurbished, used
  • Replacement warranty with our service agreement

What you are getting

Sharp placed the MX M3050 in its MX M3050 to MX M6050 series, as the model that prints 30 pages a minute. Sharp built the same family at other speeds too: MX M3550 (35), MX M4050 (40), MX M5050 (50) and MX M6050 (60), in pages a minute. Useful to know: it has room for 650 sheets (or 6,300 with extra paper options) and copes with card stock to 300 gsm.

Is it the right fit for your team?

As a rough guide, it is sized for an office of somewhere between five and fifteen staff. Expecting more staff? The same family's MX M3550 lifts the speed to 35 pages a minute.

Secondhand grades and how to pay

A secondhand MX M3050 comes in one of three grades. Renewed is the top grade, with more parts replaced so it looks and runs close to new, and it costs more than refurbished. Refurbished, the most popular, is cleaned, serviced and tested, with its worn parts replaced. Used is checked and working with less work done, for the lowest outlay. Rental, a lease or finance can run for as long as 60 months if the machine's age allows, or you can buy outright. Delivery, setup on your network, scanning setup and a run through for your team are in the price.

We only sell machines we can service, so every secondhand MX M3050 we supply can go straight onto a service agreement, with toner, parts and repairs at a set cost per page and a replacement if it fails. Rental on selected machines is from $15 a week plus GST, approval permitting.

Questions worth asking first

  • The page count. Ask for it in writing; we give it before you sign. Pages printed tell you more about wear than the year a machine was made.
  • The options on it. Find out what is attached, such as a stapling finisher, more paper drawers or a high capacity feeder. Each one changes the jobs it suits and the figure you pay.
  • Who looks after it. A machine nobody can repair is no bargain, however little it costs. We only sell what we can service ourselves, everywhere we deliver.
  • The running cost. Have the black and white and colour page rates put in writing, along with what each rate includes.

Replacement warranty

A machine that fails is replaced. Through to the final month.

Any machine we look after on a service agreement comes under our replacement warranty, whatever its age and however you paid for it. Rented, leased, financed or bought outright, new or secondhand: if it fails, we replace it. Cover runs for the whole term of the agreement, through to its final month.

The maker's warranty on a new copier normally lasts 12 months and takes in the hardware; consumables are not part of it. Past that first year, your protection comes from the service agreement. Every detail of the replacement warranty is set down in your agreement.

Asked often

Common queries on the Sharp MX M3050

Is there a way to judge the wear on a secondhand MX M3050?

Yes: the page count. We put it in writing before you commit, and it is a truer guide to wear than age alone.

How do I decide between the MX M3050 and the MX M3550?

Both come from the same family. The MX M3050 prints 30 pages a minute, while the MX M3550 prints 35, so the real question is how many people will share the machine. Give us that number and we will point you to one.

Is rental an option on the MX M3050?

Usually, yes, subject to approval, for a term the machine's age allows, up to 60 months. Weekly rental on selected machines is from $15 a week plus GST; the machine is serviced throughout. Rental is not hire, so there is no short booking to arrange. Ask about this model and we will put the figures in writing for you.
