What you are getting

Within Konica Minolta's bizhub 300i to 750i range, the bizhub 300i is the option at 30 pages a minute. Its stablemates, each with its pages a minute: bizhub 360i (36), bizhub 450i (45), bizhub 550i (55) and bizhub 650i (65). From the maker's own figures, it needs the optional single pass document feeder to scan at its top speed of 100 images a minute, has room for 1,150 sheets (or 6,650 with extra paper options) and copes with card stock to 300 gsm. Konica Minolta has since brought out the bizhub 301i to replace it.

The right size of business

It makes most sense for an office of somewhere between five and fifteen staff. Konica Minolta's recommended monthly volume is up to 25,000 pages. For more people on the one machine, look at the bizhub 360i, the next step up at 36 pages a minute.

Picking a grade, then a way to pay

Choose a renewed bizhub 300i if you want one that runs close to new, refurbished for the balance most customers pick, or used to keep the outlay down. Every unit is checked first, with the page count in writing. Pay outright, or rent, lease or finance it over a term that can reach 60 months on a younger machine. Delivery, setup on your network, scanning setup and a run through for your team come with it, wherever you are on the Coast.

We only sell machines we can service, so every secondhand bizhub 300i we supply can go straight onto a service agreement, with toner, parts and repairs at a set cost per page and a replacement if it fails. Rental on selected machines is from $15 a week plus GST, approval permitting.

Four things to ask about a secondhand machine

  • The page count. Ask for it in writing; we give it before you sign. Pages printed tell you more about wear than the year a machine was made.
  • The options on it. Find out what is attached, such as a stapling finisher, more paper drawers or a high capacity feeder. Each one changes the jobs it suits and the figure you pay.
  • Who looks after it. A machine nobody can repair is no bargain, however little it costs. We only sell what we can service ourselves, everywhere we deliver.
  • The running cost. Have the black and white and colour page rates put in writing, along with what each rate includes.

Replacement warranty

A machine that fails is replaced. Through to the final month.

Any machine we look after on a service agreement comes under our replacement warranty, whatever its age and however you paid for it. Rented, leased, financed or bought outright, new or secondhand: if it fails, we replace it. Cover runs for the whole term of the agreement, through to its final month.

The maker's warranty on a new copier normally lasts 12 months and takes in the hardware; consumables are not part of it. Past that first year, your protection comes from the service agreement. Every detail of the replacement warranty is set down in your agreement.

Asked often

Konica Minolta bizhub 300i: questions and answers

Can the bizhub 300i still be bought new?

Not any more: the bizhub 301i took over in Konica Minolta's range. A secondhand one from us is checked, graded and serviced by our own team.

Is there a way to judge the wear on a secondhand bizhub 300i?

Yes: the page count. We put it in writing before you commit, and it is a truer guide to wear than age alone.

How many pages a month should the bizhub 300i handle?

Konica Minolta recommends keeping it within 25,000 pages a month; the rated ceiling is 150,000 in a single month.

How do I decide between the bizhub 300i and the bizhub 360i?

It comes down to your workload. At 30 pages a minute against 36, the two suit different team sizes; send a headcount and a rough monthly page count and we will recommend the better fit.
